About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

This is a full-time fixed term / secondment position for 6 months until 30 October 2026. It is based in either the Wellington / Christchurch offices.

You will be responsible for managing processes and systems associated with the Ministry’s Design and Engineering projects and Expert Panels (DRP and EAG) to keep these programmes operational and efficient.

Working with external Panel Consultants, Design Teams, Delivery Managers and Property Advisors you will ensure that the design review processes meet delivery targets.

 

Your key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Managing external Panel consultants for project review services
  • Selecting and assigning Panel consultants for individual projects
  • Managing and maintaining registers and databases
  • Reporting on progress, cost control and technical compliance.

 

Salary range: $74,815 - $90,347 per annum +  kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

You will have previous experience with Teams, K2 and Jira systems so as to provide design/coordination support in a project or programme environment, with an understanding of the construction and design processes associated.

 

You will also offer:

 

  • A self-directed and proactive approach with excellent time and the ability to juggle several tasks and deadlines at once.
  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • The ability to make sound decisions within short timeframes and effectively be adaptable and use initiative.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
