About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Senior Developers to be part of a new team to support a mission critical funding system that calculates and distributes operational grants to schools and Early Learning services across Aotearoa. This is a foundation team with an opportunity to define ways of working and ensure collaboration will occur throughout delivery. Supported by the Digital Practices, the team will play a key role for the Ministry, the schools, and our learners."

 

Salary range: $99,496 - $120,690 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Prior experience within the New Zealand Government would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Have proven experience using .NET Core (C#) for development, including implementing suitable unit and integration tests to prove functionality.
  • Have proven experience with Event Sourcing, Document DB and Database migrations ( MartenDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Have experience with React and Angular.
  • Good experience with Test Driven Development
  • An understanding of Azure Cloud service and DevOps principles, especially CI/CD pipelines
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
