About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

We’re looking for three Senior Advisors to join our Operational Design and Development team, in a full-time permanent role based in Wellington. You’ll design practical, people-centered service design and operational policy products that improves services and outcomes for tamariki, mokopuna and whānau. You’ll work in a matrix team to shape how we do things – helping turn big ideas into real , lasting system change. Your work will focus on improving equity and strengthen the outcome in education. Salary range: $85,225 - $103,071 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

You’ll bring critical thinking, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to improving outcomes. You’ll be comfortable working across initiatives that use a range of design methodologies. You’re open to leaning and confident at picking up new skills, tools and ways of working, as needed.

 

You will also offer:

 

  • Strong experience in service design, operational policy, UX design, business analysis change management or digital experience to support design and delivery
  • Confidence working with diverse stakeholder and applying inclusive, user-centric design approaches
  • The ability to simplify complex issues and turn ideas into clear, practical design and operational delivery solutions across a range of initiatives
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Operational Design and Development function brings together expertise in operational policy, design, and business process management. We work through a matrix structure, connecting across teams and disciplines. Our focus is improving experience, effectiveness, and efficiency of education services.

 

We do this to support equitable and excellent outcomes for tamariki and mokopuna.
