We have an opportunity for an exceptional web writer to join our web team as a Senior Advisor Online Content.

 

As a Senior Advisor Online Content, you will work with business units across the Ministry to provide specialist website advice and services, including:

  • content design and development
  • user experience guidance
  • information architecture advice
  • search engine optimisation
  • analytics – implementing, analysis and reporting.

 

Salary range: $100,296 to $121,490 + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

We are looking for a person with experience in:

  • web content best practice, including writing and editing for the web, plain language, readability, accessibility, and SEO
  • working with stakeholders to develop and refine content
  • working with website analytics tools and content management systems
  • using website analytics to make actionable recommendations and drive improvements
  • presenting ideas and providing constructive feedback to stakeholders
  • upholding content standards
  • managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • quickly establishing and building strong working relationships
  • New Zealand Government Web Standards.

 

You will also offer:

  • a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality

This role is in the Content and Channels team in Te Pou Rangatōpū | Corporate group.

 

Content and Channels ensure the Ministry’s social media communities, Education Gazette publication, and Te Pou Rangatopu websites effectively meet the needs of the Ministry and our audiences. As the kaitiakitanga | guardians of these channels, we maintain their high quality by offering strategic, audience-focused advice and services.
