We’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Advisor, Marketing Engagement to join the Workforce Channels team in Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga | Education Workforce. This is your opportunity to contribute to a work programme that raises the profile of the education profession in New Zealand and overseas, while supporting government priorities.

 

As part of a high-performing team, you’ll deliver impactful marketing communications to support the international and domestic campaigns across digital and traditional platforms, as well as lead the communications and engagement of initiatives and programmes that attract and retain teachers.

 

You’ll create engaging content, develop communications and engagement plans, while supporting the wider cross-functional team to directly support the Ministry’s mission to attract and retain great people in education.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate and support the wider Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga I Education Workforce work programme with compelling marketing communications.
  • Support the wider marketing campaigns with organic content and story creation
  • Support the Principal Advisor, Workforce Channels in the delivery of the marketing communications work programme including handling media queries.
  • Maintain and enhance digital platforms, ensuring accessibility and brand alignment
  • Identify risks and provide advice on best approach to meet stakeholder and audience needs.

 

Salary range: $100,296  - $121,490 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

We are looking for an enthusitatic marketing engagement professional who wants to work in a fact paced creative environment that is focused on raising the perception of the education profession.

 

To be successful in the role, you’ll be working collaboratively with the wider Workforce Channels team, key internal and external stakeholders to deliver the existing work programme. You should have:

 

  • Experience in communications, engagement or marketing.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Can work independently and manage multiple deadlines. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of public sector processes and/or the education sector is a plus
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
