About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

  • Fixed term contract / Secondment

The School Property Partner is the primary point of contact for schools across your portfolio, ensuring they receive timely, proactive and high‑quality support for all property‑related needs. You will provide strategic asset management advice, support planning and delivery of maintenance, upgrade and build projects, and ensure schools have clear and accurate information to make confident long‑term decisions.

 

In this role, you’ll combine relationship management expertise with strong property knowledge to guide schools through complex programmes of work. You will collaborate with technical specialists, monitor performance, support financial and contract management, and ensure nationally consistent but locally delivered services across the school property system.

 

 

Salary range: $120,000-$150,000+ 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointedat a salary based on skills and experience.

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake

 

The School Property Group manages one of the largest property portfolios in Aotearoa — more than 2,100 state schools and over 8,000 hectares of land. We are responsible for asset management, capital works, investment planning and service delivery.

 

The Government has announced the establishment of the New Zealand School Property Agency (NZSPA) as a Crown agent (implementation expected in 2026, subject to legislation). This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition and continuing to deliver consistent, high‑quality services to schools.
