About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

This position is a fixed term opportunity to cover parental leave for 14 months.

 

The Release Coordinator will:

 

  • work within the School Property Systems team to schedule the release of system changes and upgrades.
  • be responsible for the planning and coordination of all phases and activities involved in release activities for the School Property Systems team.
  • facilitate release meetings and will help develop release deployment plans, identifying priorities, conflicts, dependencies and risks for the release.

 

This role will also manage user access to School Property Systems, and provide troubleshooting support for users.

 

The School Property Systems team works within Te Pou Rangatōpū Data Delivery and with other key stakeholders to ensure the effective and pragmatic management of school property data and related information management systems.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:

 

  • Experience in a complex organisation
  • Experience in building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Experience in an IT/Digital environment.
  • Experience with coordination and facilitation of Change and Release Management processes and procedures.
  • Experience in organising – identifying what matters, anticipating next steps, accurately delivering what was commissioned.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

Matihiko | Digital holds the strategic lead on technology matters across the Ministry. This includes oversight of digital services in the Ministry, leading the cross-agency strategy ‘Connected Ako: Digital and Data for Learning’, enabling education system wide planning and investment in digital services, and ensuring the Ministry’s alignment with broader best-practice government digital and data direction and guidance.

 

The School Property Systems team maintains the digital tools and systems that are used to manage all primary and secondary school property in New Zealand.
