About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

We’re looking for a highly organised and collaborative Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of operational design and development initiatives.

 

This permanent role sits within Te Pae Aronui’s Operational Design and Development team. As Programme Coordinator, you’ll work alongside initiative leads, managers and delivery teams to keep things running smoothly. You’ll coordinate team logistics, support governance and reporting, manage delivery tracking, and provide practical support across a wide range of initiatives.

 

Your work will help connect the dots across complex work programmes. Whether you're organising engagements, preparing documentation, or helping teams stay aligned, you’ll play a key role in enabling progress and supporting design work that improves how education services are delivered for ākonga, whānau and educators.

 

You’ll join a fast-paced, purpose-driven team focused on system improvement, with a strong emphasis on equity and collaboration.

 

Salary range: $74,815 – $90,347 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

You’re a skilled coordinator with experience supporting delivery in complex environments. You’re comfortable working across multiple initiatives and know how to keep things organised, on track, and well-communicated.

 

You’ll bring:

  • Experience supporting initiatives, projects, or programmes with competing priorities
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with programme or project management tools and documentation
  • A collaborative working style and ability to build strong relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • A commitment to equity and to increasing your confidence in te ao Māori, te reo Māori and Te Tiriti-based practice
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

 

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake

The Operational Design and Development group are the designers who shape how education services are delivered across Aotearoa.

 

Within the group, our Delivery Team leads design initiatives to deliver solutions that achieve Government priorities and address identified operational challenges and opportunities. Our work is diverse in nature and we work at pace with people from across the organisation and externally.

 

We centre the needs and experiences of ākonga, whānau, educators and communities. We work collaboratively to design systems, processes and guidance, so that education services are delivered more consistently, equitably and effectively.
