  • Fixed Term opportunity – until June 2025

As Programme Coordinator and Business Support, you will provide efficient and effective administration, and support the operational success across the Charter School Agency. Being organised and agile with excellent interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role.

You’ll be responsible for providing business support and be actively involved in the coordination of various pieces of work simultaneously. As the ‘go to’ person for the team on many matters, you will enjoy a varied role providing executive, programme, business and administrative support, enabling our people to perform to the highest standard.

 

Your role will include a mix of Executive support and Programme Office support during the Agency’s establishment phase. General business and administrative support will also comprise your tasks, including financial and procurement administration, maintaining the SharePoint site and other administrative duties.


Salary range: $84,425 - $102,271 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary based on their individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake


You are an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and are able to focus on business needs as they arise. You are comfortable with a range of tasks, and providing secretariat and administration functions, as well as maintaining document management structures and systems. You are able to turn your hand to administrative tasks big and small and find the best solution. We are looking for the successful applicant to bring enthusiasm, a keenness for learning and strong initiative to our team.

With an ever changing and fast-moving environment you need to be ready and flexible to support the business needs; you will forge strong relationships within the business and manage a wide variety of requests with confidence. With the capacity to take initiative, think ahead, you will possess strong organisational and prioritisation skills, supporting all the elements required to guarantee the success of the Charter School Agency.


You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Competence in the full MS Office suite and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to communicate in a timely, clear and concise manner.

The Charter School Agency is a departmental agency that receives services and support from the Ministry of Education. The Agency opened on 1 July 2024 and is responsible for the delivery of charter schools | kura hourua.  The first charter schools are expected to open from Term 1 2025.
