About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
 

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for providing day to day operational and administrative support to the Infrastructure Procurement team in the region.

 

Your Key Priorities will include:
 

  • Operational / Procurement Support to the team including supporting the 'end to end' delivery of scheduled procurement activities
  • Periodic reporting against key procurement information
  • Ensuring that all appropriate processes, procedures, standards and guidelines are adhered to and adapted as necessary
  • Reviewing and coordinating procurement documentation (procurement plans, evaluation plans and recommendations) for approval and, ensuring all relevant final versions of documents are collected and stored appropriately
  • Providing administrative support to use of the Ministry’s contract management tool.


Salary range: $65,001 - $78,395 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake


You will have proven experience providing support to busy projects and ideally procurement teams and strong Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets.  A positive and ‘can do’ attitude are paramount as you liaise with stakeholders within and across teams. Experience in the public sector and/or the construction industry would be advantageous.

Te Pou Rangatōpū | Corporate group is responsible for delivering essential Ministry-wide statutory and corporate functions. We enable the organisation to operate effectively and help fulfil the statutory and reporting obligations of Te Tāhuhu.

The Infrastructure Procurement team sits within Te Pou Rangatōpū | Corporate and is a vibrant and diverse team, where no two days are the same. We work together with our partners in School Property to deliver effective, inclusive procurement solutions, which support the Ministry’s vision that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio. This all contributes to helping deliver equitable and excellent outcomes for every child in our education system.
