About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
The Principal Advisor Payroll Systems Specialist drives innovation, leads complex projects and provides expert counsel to senior leadership on all matters related to payroll and HR systems technology. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our people related systems and processes are fit for purpose, support the organisation’s strategic objectives and enhances the overall employee lifecycle.
Salary range: $119,171 - $144,560 per annum + KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
You will have experience working in a complex organisation and a proven ability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities to influence and guide organisational and system level decision making. You will be curious with expert problem solving skills and can contribute to an effective team with a positive approach supporting high performance and collaboration.
To be successful in the role, you’ll be working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, developing relationships at senior levels.
You will also offer:
- A strong understanding of HRIS architecture, database structures and system integrations
- Advanced knowledge of payroll principles, practices and compliance
- Expert proficiency in SuccessFactors
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
