Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role

 

This is as Full time, fixed term position through to 28 March 2025.

 

The Manager, Learning Area Leads works within the Curriculum and Assessment Change Programme implementing programme workstream deliverables including participatory design, planning, and delivering implementation support for the regions to have the capability to enable them to engage with the sector and stakeholders.

 

The Manager is responsible for ensuring the team works in a collaborative manner to ensure the design, development, and implementation of products through the life of the programme, including ensuring all changes support Māori, Neurodiverse and disabled learners and Pacific learners are implemented and embedded.

 

Successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

Mōhou ake | About you

 

The right candidate will be able to lead with purpose, with a key focus on relationship management and stakeholder engagement across the sector.

 

They will also offer:

 

  • Secondary leadership experience.
  • Experienced in group facilitation in order to achieve alignment and output to specific timeframes.
  • Experience leading and implementing change through others
  • Proven and effective communication skills – in particular, the ability to write quickly and clearly for a variety of audiences and communicate complex information simply

Te Poutāhū provides strengthened and inclusive curriculum leadership, expertise and partnership for The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Whāriki, as well as providing expertise and resources for quality teaching.

 

We bring together curriculum, teaching expertise and evidence for the development, support and review of inclusive curricula, assessment and NCEA. Our strengths are across te reo Māori, mātauranga Māori, disability, inclusive learning support and culturally relevant content so that Te Mahau supports learning that is inclusive for all ākonga.
