We’re looking for an enthusiastic Advisor, Marketing Engagement to join the Workforce Channels team in Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga | Education Workforce. This is your opportunity to contribute to a work programme that raises the profile of the education profession in New Zealand and overseas, while supporting government priorities.

As part of a high-performing team, you’ll help deliver impactful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. You’ll create engaging content, optimise user journeys, and use data to drive continuous improvement. Your work will directly support the Ministry’s mission to attract and retain great people in education.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage content development as part of the attraction and retention work programme.
  • Support the implementation of marketing strategies across web, email, and social media.
  • Use analytics to monitor performance and create reporting to demonstrate outcomes.
  • Maintain and enhance digital platforms, ensuring accessibility and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver campaign outcomes.

 

Salary range: $74,815 - $90,347per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

We are looking for an enthusitatic marketing professional who is at the start of their career and wanting to grow and thrive in a supportive, creative environment. You will be creative and collaborative and bring your knowledge and drive in a high paced environment where we market teaching throughout New Zealand and internationally.

To be successful in the role, you’ll be working collaboratively with the wider Channels team, key internal and external stakeholders to build on the existing work programme. You should have:

  • Experience in marketing, content creation, or digital engagement.
  • An understanding of SEO, UX, social media, and email marketing.
  • Skilled in CMS platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of public sector processes and/or the education sector is a plus
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
