About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

This role is part of the Financial Payments & Collections team who are responsible to ensure the accurate and timely payment and collection of all Ministry transactions.

 

The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Advisor – Supplier Maintenance is to carry out supplier maintenance activities within the accounts payable function efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with agreed timeframes and payment terms. You will ensure compliance with internal policies and processes, undertake purchase card and expense activities, and provide professional support, advice and issue resolution to both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

 

Salary range: $60,079.00 - $66,087.00 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

We're looking for an experienced person with excellent communication (both oral and written) who can deliver high quality, accurate and timely completion of supplier maintenance, purchase card, and expense functions within the Accounts Payable team; has a good understanding of financial control and can identify process improvement opportunities; isn't afraid to be in the detail but can balance that by not losing sight of the big picture.

 

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to build effective relationships and credibility with internal and external customers of the Ministry, team members and colleagues in Finance. You will also have the ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
