About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

Based in Henderson, with occasional work from our Albany office, this role requires flexibility to support operations across North and West Tāmaki Makaurau. A valid driver’s license (Restricted License considered) is essential for managing fleet vehicle responsibilities.

 

As a Senior Support Officer, you will oversee a range of administrative functions, including correspondence, payroll, financial management, data management, document production, corporate services, and scheduling. Your capability will ensure smooth operations and support the organization’s broader objectives.

 

This role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will manage financial processes, utilize Microsoft applications for data management and reporting, and coordinate fleet vehicle logistics to support team mobility, including SharePoint creation and management. Your ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, even during busy periods, will be critical to maintaining operational continuity. By delivering high-quality organisational support, you will enable our teams to focus on achieving impactful outcomes for ākonga.

 

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you bring financial literacy and strong organizational capabilities to the role. Your proficiency with systems and processes, combined with a calm and professional approach, allows you to manage competing priorities effectively. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the organization’s goals. Salary range: $60,079 - $72,199 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake

 

Te Mahau | Te Tai Raro is a frontline group. Our frontline groups collectively provide leadership and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services, such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services.

 

As a frontline group we develop and harness existing relationships with communities at the regional and local level through the Directors of Education, including deep relationships with iwi and hapū. Our Directors of Education have the lead role and relationship with early learning, kōhanga, school and kura, and this means they will be across all the services we provide at a local level.

 

Our Business Support team provides support to the Education and Learning Support teams in Auckland, and we regularly work with families, schools, and early childhood centres to support their work in the sector.

 

The team is supportive, ultra-friendly and diverse, customer focused and driven to provide the best service possible. You will have lots of colleagues to help you as you learn the business.
