- Permanent, full-time role
- Based in our Albany office
The Manager, Integrated Services develops and implements functional strategies and work programmes. To do this, the Manager leads a team of experts across education, curriculum, and learning support to deliver the work programmes. Specifically, your team will:
- Deliver responsive and accessible support services to educators.
- Embed Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Te Tiriti) principles into all activities and reporting roles.
- Support the learning support delivery model and learning action plans.
- Provide support to learning and education support specialists.
- Collaborate with colleagues across your region and the motu to share information, insights, and improvements.
- Provide a cohesive and strong connection to the metaphor of Te Mahau as the primary relationship holder with those the Ministry serves, in conjunction with regionally based Leadership Advisor and Strategic Advisor Māori colleagues.

About you | Mōhou ake
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification with experience across the education or government sector is essential. You may also have a learning support, Māori education, Pacific education, or other specialist education background.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
You will also offer:
- Previous operational leadership experience in a complex environment, including risk management.
- Confidence when working with ambiguity with exposure to leading through organisational change.
- The ability to provide advice and build trusting relationships with a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to interpret and act on data and insights.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake
Te Mahau takiwā collectively provide leadership and integrated services to the education sector.
Te Tai Raro is a takiwā group consisting of four regions:
- Te Tai Tokerau
- Tāmaki Herenga Tāngata | North and West
- Tāmaki Herenga Manawa | Central and East
- Tāmaki Herenga Waka | South and Southwest
Our team provides leadership and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services.
As a frontline group we develop and harness existing relationships with communities at the regional and local level through the Directors of Education, including deep relationships with iwi and hapū.
