About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

This is a permanent, part-time role supporting Canterbury teams to deliver great outcomes

 

The Senior Support Officer plays a key role in our Business Support team, enabling frontline staff to deliver for learners. This role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting reporting requirements, alongside general business support tasks.as required.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Processing and reconciling financial transactions and funding allocations.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting budget monitoring and compliance with Ministry policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve financial processes and systems

 

Salary range: $60,879 - $72,999 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong financial administration skills and thrives in a collaborative team environment. You will have a strong customer service ethic, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage complex processes.

The Business Support Team support and enable the work of the Canterbury Learning Support and Education Teams to deliver effective services across the region. The team plays a vital role in contributing to and achieving the Ministry's overall goals.
