About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

 

We currently have multiple Permanent, Full-Time vacancies in the Business Support Team located at our Maungawhau | Mt Eden office, Auckland.

 

The roles are responsible for being the first touch-point at our Reception desk, and involves welcoming all employees, visitors, contractors and clients to our Maungawhau | Mt Eden Office

 

This is an on-site role, and involves a range of administrative support activities such as managing email correspondence, triaging calls to relevant teams, assisting with catering, ordering stationery, data entry, printing and filing documents, as well as other office support tasks.

 

Shifts are rotational, and will be between the operational hours of Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

 

 

Salary range: $60,079 - $60,881 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

Since this role is based at our Reception desk, we would ideally prefer an individual with a customer service background, particularly someone with previous front desk experience. Experience with taking calls, as well as previous administration experience, is also an advantage.

 

You will also offer:

  • Great time management with an ability to prioritise work and work towards timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Comfort in working in a tikanga/kaupapa Māori environment.
  • Developing knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi to the work being undertaken.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

 

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake

 

Te Mahau | Te Tai Raro is a frontline group. Our frontline groups collectively provide leadership and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services, such as learning support, education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services.

 

As a frontline group we develop and harness existing relationships with communities at the regional and local level through the Directors of Education, including deep relationships with iwi and hapū. Our Directors of Education have the lead role and relationship with early learning, kōhanga, school and kura, and this means they will be across all the services we provide at a local level.

 

Our Business Support team provides support to the Education and Learning Support teams in Auckland, and we regularly work with families, schools, and early childhood centres to support their work in the sector.

 

The team is supportive, ultra-friendly and diverse, customer focused and driven to provide the best service possible. You will have lots of colleagues to help you as you learn the business.
