Ministerial Appointment

Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Combined School Board has an alternative constitution that requires the Minister of Education to appoint one member to the current board.  Would you like to be considered for this role?

To be a good fit, you’ll have a strong understanding and commitment to schooling in the Ōtara community and the ability, or the willingness to develop:

• good governance skills,
• a problem-solver’s attitude,
• knowledge of schools and education,
• sound judgment and strategic thinking skills, and
• an interest in serving the school’s community.

Ministerial Appointees serve in a voluntary capacity and will receive a modest stipend for their participation in meetings.
