We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Education Workforce Analysis team in Wellington. As the Senior Analyst  you will report directly to the Manager, Analysis & Insights .

 

The Senior Analyst works with internal clients to undertake analysis, research, and evaluation to advance the understanding of our Education Workforce. Your work will contribute to solutions aimed at identifying issues, addressing needs, and contributing to evidenced based solutions for the wider Education Workforce

 

Salary range: $99,496 - $120,690 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

 

To be successful in the role  you will have the following:

 

  • Experience in system dynamic and stochastic modelling  preferably but it’s not essential.
  • You will bring your experience working across a variety of stakeholder groups and a strength in delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable and have the capacity to cope with a rapidly changing work environment and delivering high quality results under pressure.
  • Ability to work alongside peers to ensure the delivery of written material and response to requests.
  • A master’s qualification in quantitative/qualitative analysis, mathematics, economics, finance, evaluation, statistics or equivalent.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Education Workforce Group provides high quality evidence to inform policy and practice. We do this to influence the policies, actions and decisions that help shape the education system and drive excellent and equitable outcomes. We pride ourselves in providing data and analysis that makes information relevant, understandable, and useful for parents, teachers, academics, and government.

 

The Analysis & Insights team works with policy and operational teams across the ministry to monitor the education workforce across early learning and compulsory schooling sectors. Our work is diverse: ranging from investigating career trajectories, to forecasting.
