About this role |Mō tēnei tūranga

We have positions available based at our Henderson or Albany office.

As a Senior Education Adviser ECE you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team by:
 

  • Following Ministry processes to assess regulatory framework when licensing new services, change of management, licensing assessments, complaint or incident investigation, identify non-compliant and gather evidence and make recommendations.
  • Working in a collaborative way with key stakeholders to provide timely, accurate, quality implementation advice and support, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and obligations.
  • Supporting the ECE team to provide high quality service to the sector, the Ministry and Government.

     

Salary range: $84,425 - $91,563 per annum + 3% kiwisaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary based on their individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake


To be successful in this role you will have the following capabilities and competencies:
 

  • A tertiary qualification in early childhood education or other relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of early learning services, early childhood curriculum and licensing criteria for early learning services.
  • The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
  • A full driver licence
  • Be part of part of a diverse and friendly integrated team where full support and training is given to be successful in your role, with a supportive manager and team.
  • The ability to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
     

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake
 

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.

Te Mahau │ Te Tai Whenua is the key interface between Te Mahau | Ministry of Education and education providers. It is our role to ensure that sector leaders and the communities in which they operate have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that will allow our children and young people to reach their full potential.
