About this role |Mō tēnei tūranga
We have positions available based at our Henderson or Albany office.
As a Senior Education Adviser ECE you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team by:
- Following Ministry processes to assess regulatory framework when licensing new services, change of management, licensing assessments, complaint or incident investigation, identify non-compliant and gather evidence and make recommendations.
- Working in a collaborative way with key stakeholders to provide timely, accurate, quality implementation advice and support, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and obligations.
- Supporting the ECE team to provide high quality service to the sector, the Ministry and Government.
Salary range: $84,425 - $91,563 per annum + 3% kiwisaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary based on their individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
To be successful in this role you will have the following capabilities and competencies:
- A tertiary qualification in early childhood education or other relevant discipline.
- Understanding of early learning services, early childhood curriculum and licensing criteria for early learning services.
- The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
- A full driver licence
- Be part of part of a diverse and friendly integrated team where full support and training is given to be successful in your role, with a supportive manager and team.
- The ability to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.
Te Mahau │ Te Tai Whenua is the key interface between Te Mahau | Ministry of Education and education providers.
